The mav is gone but i'm still here!
Earliest is 73, For regular slots $100 is fair for a set.
Maverick ones fetch a little more though.

At first glance, those wheels look right to me. They have that extra ring carved into the outer diameter. It is in that first stepped-down section. I do not recall any aftermarket slot wheels back in the day having that.

I believe that the Ford wheels were only available in a 14x6 size, too, so that should help tell you if these are the real deal.

I have never had a set of these, so maybe someone who has can tell you more. I did work for Goodyear around 1980 and handled a lot of wheels and tires.

Look like Maverick wheels to me.

Make sure all the screw holes for the centers are in good shape, no busted off screws, etc.

The center hole looks like the early version that ONLY fit drum brake cars. The later year wheels had a larger hole in the center in order to fit disc brakes. The smaller hole wheels can be taken to a machine shop and they can make the hole larger.

thanks guy's. I had a set on my original stallion, I guess that's why I like them...Craig, do you have a set for sale? if not, what do you think they should be going for. this guy is asking 2-300 (seems a little steep)

If they are straight, and the lips aren't chewed up. $200 for a set is very reasonable, Mustang guys pay alot more for a good set.

The centers are repopped for the Mustang. The center emblem is the hard part.

If you go to National Parts Depot, In Canton, they have them in stock, then buy the domed stickers from Craig, and your set.
I once bought 4 nos Maverick ones off Ebay, for $125!!

I do not have a set.

$200 to $300 seems to be the going rate I would say.

Canuk, those are it. I was actually going to wait for the auction to end and make him an offer since no one is bidding...we shall see...
