I'm looking to get two of them for my next exhaust, the thing is that most are just glasspacks that are re-named as a resonator.

Anyone know where I can get non glasspack ones?
I tried googling and nothing, i tried summit racing and their resonators dont list how they are designed on the inside.

I'm looking for some like these:

(sorry for the blurry pic, i took this way back in my senior year of high school. They didn't let us keep the book. So i took a picture of every page haha)

    Thanks :drive:

I'm not sure exactly what your looking for, is it a magnaflow bullets design your looking for?

I'm looking for one that is a non "packed" design. Like chambered I guess or other.

Not the ones filled with fiberglass,
or in magnaflows case stainless mesh.

make your own. it would be a little time consuming but not hard to do at all. just need a welder, something to cut the tubing, something to drill holes with. and some imagination.

These are actually the ones I want, but they're a bit too pricy. I was hoping they made non SS ones, but they dont.

I have all of that, I've made a homemade muffler before. (y)

the only thing is i don't know how to place the baffles or whatever they use to resonate the sound waves.....gotta do research.

why don't you try your local AutoZone or NAPA or whatever you have in your area? It might have been a regional or a state to state thing but my Dad's 1972, 302, Grabber came stock from the factory with a resonator and a muffler. Resonator was up under the car around the fron't passenger seat and the stock muffler of course was all the way in the back between the gas tank and trunk drop down/rear fender. It may be worth a shot. Go in and ask them if they have a resonator listed for a 72 Maverick with a 302

Just a thought, I looked back at the old Midas muffler warranty on the 74. And yes there it was, Resonator. I would think with there life time warranty they would have the closest thing.

    Thanks!

I did! they all have the glasspack kind. thanks though! and a maverick one would be too small for my build :D need at least a 2.5 ID one.

    I'll check em out, thanks!

I don't even think we have a Midas here????? But I do have two muffler shops on my street i'll check em out, thanks!
