OK, we have a 77 maverick with a 5.0 and standard rotation water pump. We are installing a PSC1 blower and we need to find a water pump pulley for a serpentine belt. The stock fox body pulley is smooth and reverse rotation (pump). I posted a parts wanted ad below but wanted to ask if anyone had any other ideas to solve this problem. I do know the 84ish 5.0 Lincoln MarkVIIs have the pulley we need but I'm wondering if others will fit. Also, we've noticed that the pulley bolt pattern is smaller on the fox cars than on the maverick. Thanks.

The pulley you're lookiing for was used on 87-91 Crown Vics, Lincoln Towncars and Merc Marquis 5.0's. Same pulley for all. This is a std rotation pulley for a std rotation pump.

baddad457, these would have the grooves in the pulley for the serpentine belt, correct?

Yes, it uses a serpentine style belt.

Ok, problem solved. We found a water pump pulley from an 88 5.0L town car. We have a crank pulley for 86-93 mustangs. And, the water pump is the original sytle 77 V8 maverick pump. Everything is bolted up and lines up just fine. Also, the bolt pattern in the pulley is the same as the 77 water pump. I do know that the choice of balancer may require a spacer(FRPP carries spacers). Finally, I didn't measure the diameter but the old V-belt pulley and the new pulley were approximately the same so water pump speed should be similar. Thanks for the help.
