well i have a 1970 maverick which i want to switch the drums brake for disk brakes and i trying to do it myself i just getting started i dont know much about about cars jsut the basi tupe up standart ting but im upto the challege thank you for you help
I just used all of the parts from a 76 Maverick; master cylinder, spindles, rotors, calipers, outer tie rod ends, etc. Had to slightly rebend the brake hardlines to meet up with the new hoses that go to the calipers.
also when you find doner parts, try to disassemble the parts you need yourself and that gives you a good idea how to reassemble on your car. and google up any info you need to do the swap, and oh yea..welcome to the forum.
I used this guy to acquire all my parts for my swap. he's located in texas and decent prices. Instructions come with the kits. I chose the swap 3 for my maverick. just click the link, and scroll down to middle of page i think. you'll see it. http://www.discbrakeswap.com/parts/parts
Hey whats up,couldn't help notice your situation. My name is Bronx Sprinter from Bronx,New York and I heard that ford granada 77 and 78 have bolt parts like spindle, axles etc,so look into it and see what you find.Exhaust all Avenues!!! Any questions please feel free to contact me.
I got brakes from a '78 Granada. Mercury Monarch will work also. Your car has GREAT interior. When I finally get mine painted, I am thinking about doing a green similar to yours..
