On my 72 Grabber, the "62D" is listed under the "Body Code" section. Also, you will have the number "93" in the 3rd and 4th digit of the VIN number.
If it has the 93 in the vin code it is a Grabber. If it has a 91 it is a standard 2 dr maverick. 62D in the body code section means it is a 2 dr body style,
Don, I believe a "62D" in the Body Code section is the second spot that denotes the "Grabber" option. 62A denotes a standard 2-door Sedan in Maverick. 3rd+4th of VIN / Body Code (for years 71-75) 91 / 62A - Maverick 2-door Sedan Standard 92 / 54A - Maverick 4-door Sedan Standard 93 / 62D - Maverick 2-door Sport Sedan Grabber 30 / 54B - Comet 4-door Sedan Standard 31 / 62B - Comet 2-door Sedan Standard or GT
Hey Don, it will be nice to see you two again at the next AZ meet, hope ya are able to make it. - Rog
