Can anyone tell me if the build sheets were left in the cars when they were made. I know old Mustang's had them under the carpet on the pass side. I have my back seat out to do rear speakers and I would love to find it. Thanks Rick
In the rear seat side panel on my 1970. Under the seat in others. I have alsio found them up under the dash, under the carpet. Just depends on where they dropped it.
My '74 Grabber built at the Wayne plant had two identical build sheets, one was in the springs of the front seat and the other was under the carpet on the passenger side.
have foudn SEVERAL under the carpet in the passenger side floorboard.. have also found them in the springs of the front seat the '74 i just bought was built at the Wayne plant, and i also found another '74 4dr in a yard once (dont remember the build location) but both of these cars had the build seat in the springs of the back seat, the upper back portion of the seat that faces the trunk
anybody else have 72 4 door? and could give me better idea of where to look? I live in apartment complex so i cant pull the seats out to look for it
Crap shoot of a chance of finding a good one. I have found 3 out of a dozen or so cars. Check front bench and rear seat springs first. Many northern cars I've parted had such rotten floorpans, if it was under the carpet it was dissolved by water over time.
eh when i get a place to check, i guess it cant hurt. It'll be awesome if i can find one. thanks for the info
