What is the trick to removing these ? I have removed alll the screws and I don't want to just start jerking on them. I'm doing speakers and there is no way I can get in the trunk, bad knees and hips. I also would like to put some sound deadner behind them. Thanks Rick
I removed the seat and then took out the 2 screws that held the seat back and lifted it up and removed it. I removed the 2 screws that held the package tray.
assuming the srew at the top of the package tray is out (cant see in pic) and the the sill plate is out and the screw in the door jamb it should come up and forward
You probably missed the door jamb screw if I had to guess. They just pop right out like Joe Dirt said.
Just be careful with the top back edge! It will punch a hole in the headliner, especially if it is old and brittle! Watch it closely when you come up with the rear portion!
It seems to me u already have enough off to get to rear spk's, except for removing the gray covering to gain access to trunk area. The only reason I see to remove the 1/4 panel covers is to put in soundeadner and/or wires. I removed my panels to put in soundeadner - while they were off I paint the entire area. Im getting ready to change out my rear spk's while I have the rear seat out for re-upholstery. These shot are a year old and the sub is no longer there.
