Just had another question that i can seem to find anywhere, i'm trying to find if there was any year of veridical that ford used a T5 and a hydraulic system, specifically the slave cylinder?

well isn't that style better then using a fork and slave set up? do you know what he means when he said that "You must reset the zero end play"?
that swap changes the input shaft support. in the support is the bearing race for the input shaft bearing. under that race is shim that establishes the preload on the input and output shafts in the trans. the other problem i see is that the new support doesnt center the trans in the bell housing like the old one does. this can cause all kinds of problems of nothing is done to ensure the trans stays centered to the motor. it could be considered beter that the clutch fork set up due to less moving parts. ive found them alot harder to service and get to bleed. also they usually have some plastic parts that i dont feel confident about.
ya that doesn't sound very good, if the trans isn't completely centered to the motor could that wreck the trans? i was a little interested in the internal design that's why i asked, but its way to pricey. A little off that subject but i was wandering if you knew of anyone that has a hydraulic set up with the original pedals?
i personaly do not. mashori and i are the only ones that i have personal experience with. if i had stock pedals i would have tried someting like the useing the f150 mastercyliner or the cnc master cylinder mounted to the firewall. the fact that i didnt have the factory pedal it was cheaper to get the cnc assembly. also sence its under the dash, there is more space under the hood. and i need that space for another project that i will be starting soon with lots of pics.
I'm sure it is possible to do it with a original pedal setup, and a hydraulic slave cylinder. The problem is no one that I know of or have read has done it yet so at this point it is un charted territory. So your looking at some R&D costs, and figuring it out, which sometimes can cost more in the long run the first time around but can get cheaper for others from that point further. Best bet would be to try and do some investigating into the mustang chassis first and see if any of them guys have done it, if you find some info on it try and figure out how to adapt it to the maverick and go from there.
ya wasn't sure im probably just going to by an after market pedal of some sore for the hydraulic setup. ill probably use a wilwood pedal, i just haven't found out what slave to use yet.
That was the pricey internal slave setup I mentioned in cable vs hydraulic thread. I priced the stuff out from Ford when I did a clutch job on a mustang and noticed it was an internal type. I'm with Bryant on the cost and uncertainty about the cheapo plastic parts and the fact that the retainer doesn't center the trans. btw, those parts came to around $600 at the time, so I laughed and looked for something else. I also wonder why he didn't use the Mustang slave since it bolts directly to that retainer. You also have to use the snap connections for the lines to the master and slave which means some interesting fabrication of plastic hydraulic lines around headers. I think Bryant and Mashori have the right idea due to the extra steps it would have taken to do this conversion, and if the hydraulics leak, they are on the outside. I had many a ranger and F-150 slave leak and require pulling the trans to fix.
ya i'm pretty sure now that i'm going to go with the external slave but i don't want to buy the cnc slave because its around a $100, a bit pricey if you ask me. I'm thinking about trying to find a stock slave made from ford that will work, but i just haven't seen one yet.

ya Im about to order that slave it seems to be the best option, it is a little better price wise then the cnc slave. thats the one you have on your car right?
i have a the cnc one. mine is a 3/4 bore. the one i linked to is a 7/8s bore. through trial and error i figured out with my set up i need a 3/4 bore slave and a 7/8s bore master. if your useing a different pedal and master cylinder than i am you may need a different size slave cylinder.
