I want to gauge the forum and see if there is enough interest on a grabber style trunk spoiler for the big bumper mavericks and comets.
I just got a reproduction grabber spoiler for my 73 Maverick from this shop in my hometown and while talking to the shop owner he mentioned that he builds the same spoiler for the big bumper cars.
The craftsmanship is A1 quality and it was hard for me to tell the difference between the repro and the oem spoilers.
Now, I go home once a year and if there is enough demand, I would bring as many sets as I could buy at about 200 dlls a piece.
I am talking to the guy about also making the rear and side window louvers and he is already building the side window ones but is trying to find the rear window one to make a mold and start repoping it.
Is anyone interested in this rear spoiler and is there anyone that has a rear louver and is interested in striking some kind of deal with me to let me use it to build a mold?

Weren't the louvers made out of metal?

I have seen some in some kind of non-metal material down in Mexico and he did not mention anything about being metal made.

Mine are made of metal. There has been at least a half dozen guys that claimed they were going to build a rear louver for these cars but I haven't seen any yet. I even supplied blue prints to several guys on here a couple years ago.
I also had an extra set of these louvers which I sold a few months back. That would have been your chance to get a set in your hands. Sorry, but I can't let the ones I have now out of my sight. Too hard to find.

Doesthis guy have the ability to ship the spoiler? What was the price on it? I have been debating, because now is the time to put one on mine, before paint, if i am going to at all... just finishing up small bumper conversion... but getting the centersection is the hardest part it seems.

By home do you mean Mexico? If so where? My uncles on vacation in Jalisco right now. I told him to take pictures of any mavericks that he sees.

Does he offer the lower front valance with the built in front spoiler or the lower rocker pieces with the exhaust cut outs like are available in Brazil?

There are several people on here that have been asking for those pieces over the years.

I know he builds the front chin spoiler and I'm sure that he would build the rear balance with exhaust cut outs.
I will call him and ask.

I believe he is asking about the side rocker covers with the exhaust cut outs like the Eleanor mustang. Not the rear valence.

    Yes, you are correct.

I was talking about the ones for the sides of the car, not the rear. Sorry for the confusion. Theye are pictures of them in the Brazilian Maverick photo album if you need to see which ones I am talking about.
