    if you look at the bump stop in the pic you can see it has been hit. at the bottom of it its black in a rounded shape. that from hiting the axle tube.

    for put the bump stops on so when the rear end bottoms out against the bottom of the car you dont hear it or feel it.

    Mine has hit a few times. Three people in the back seat combined with tools and stuff in the trunk and weak original rear leafs, then going over the bridges on I-285 at 75 mph.. they hit. That was back when I had 205 70 14's on it though.

    this is where i unloaded the car when we got home from the...Gathering/Roundup (Joplin/D.C.)...at times...full tank of gas and all the time 2 people...NO SIGN of BUMPSTOPS HITTING...
