I just received my August issue and in the photo coverage of the All Ford Nats, there's a pix of Dan's and Dennis' cars right there with the MCCI banner in the background. They only had a limited number of shots in the pictorial, but chose Mavs to put in. They also promise a Maverick article in an upcoming issue. I had sent them an e-mail a while ago when they were soliciting subscribers for cars to do articles on. Was someone saying something about recognition?? :bananaman
All I can say is 'pinch me', because the recognition that these cars have received just in the last couple of years or so has been very encouraging! Better late than never!!! :bananaman :bananaman
Yup ... just remember 10 years from now when Maverick collectivity is at full force ... we were the leaders ... not the followers ...
Although I paid for a subscription at Carlisle, I've yet to receive a copy. I did receive this email from Colin today. Anybody want a feature? Hello Dennis- My name is Colin Date and I publish an all-Ford and Mercury magazine called Legendary Ford. We’ve completed the first 4 issues, and now we’re putting together our Nov-Dec issue. I’m specifically interested in finding a Maverick or Comet in the Denver, Colorado area. We would feature the car in the next issue, and devote a full 7 pages to it. The stipulation is that the car has to be stock (original color, interior, engine, etc.). It doesn’t matter what year, or what engine/transmission combo. As long as it would make a great looking feature car. We plan on being in the Denver area (could go as far south as Colorado Springs, or as far north as Boulder) around the middle of September. I hope you can help! I have also emailed Craig Selvey this same request. thanks a lot Dennis, Colin Date Publisher, Legendary Ford Magazine
