I've been thinking of modifying my 250 I6 intake to accept a 2v Carb. I'm planning on having the log modified instead of just using an adapter because of the much higher HP gains. I found a carb that fits my budget on the Langdon stovebolt website, its what they call a holley Weber rebuilt carb part # SKU 08-8008. The Classic Inlines website offers conversion adapters for both the Holly/Autolite, or the Weber carbs. Which adapter should I order? Have any of you guys bought this carb from Stovebolt, and how did it work out?
I would much appreciate a little advice.
    Thanks, and Happy Mavericking.

The Weber adapter should be the proper one for that carb. If you want to make sure, just contact the guy who runs Classic Inlines. He is very helpful and has no problems answering any questions regarding mods for the sixes.

also, you should check out www.fordsix.com for more info on any other mods you may consider.

The adapter that is normally used doesn't allow for much power increase because it uses the same port in the manifold. The adapter is a 2 x 1 (2bbl to 1 bbl) adapter.

Yeah only 5 or 6 additional hp. I've already dropped the head off with my machinist for a valve job, and then to have the intake log milled for a conversion adaptor. According to Classic Inlines this should give me 20+ more hp(along with the other mods I'm planning).

Are you going to use the Autolite 2 Bbl?

I have been told that the Weber 32/36 Progressive 2 barrel was the best choice.
What do you think? The Langdons Stovebolt website has this carb for a reasonable price,

Is this Holly Weber the same thing as a weber 32/36? Do you know if it has the same bolt pattern?
If I where to go with an Autolite 2v, what size would you recommend.
Thanks, I would appreciate any advice you can give me.
