That would be fine with me, thank you So just a lower radiator hose for a 1997 4.0 SOHC SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET EDIT yep looks the same style to me. Thank you guys I REALLY APPRECIATE it, I will pick one up on way home tonight Man this forum is great!
Well I saved the tag off the hose just for this occasion, and for when I need to replace it although I haven't had to in 10 years or so. Now just need to remember where i put it
thats whats so great about this site! someone always has a solution for what ever your problem is. EVEN IN OFF TOPIC! i dig this forum
i have yor same serpentine setup just alt, tensioner with reversed spring, crank and water pump. im using a lower hose from a 89 bronco 2 with a 4-banger. ill try to get the part number tonight. and a pic unless theres one in my gallery
That hose on Injectedmavs pic looks good too. But is it going to a stock radiator? cant tell but the shroud looks different. I don't think his hose would work on my car because my alternator is too high but might work on yours Adam.
Yeah I was thinking this info should be posted in the tech articles section in the serpentine belt conversion how to. I do not remember seeing this info in there and it seems like an important piece of the puzzle.
i forgot to mention that a am using the champion aluminum radiator. and also i checked and theres no pic of it in my gallery so ill post a pic tonight
It is going to a stock radiator with a stock 1992 Mustang/Mark VII alternator bracket and a 130amp alternator. The shroud you're referring to is the electric cooling fan. Here's a different angle.
Ok thats good, wanted to make sure it was the same diameter. Saves me from digging around through my books of receipts
Yep! hose size fits each end. I was running a modified hose that I found in an AZ, it was leaking and I couldn't figure out what the part # was, I found this in my shed by accident when I was looking for something else.
Good deal, yep I am currently using a stock radiator and 130 amp alt out of a sn-95 so this should be just the ticket. And even with my tensioner reversed, I think I am at about the same angle on the tensioner. Also runnning a tauras electric fan so should be no clearance issues there either. I still think its a great idea to throw these hose numbers and radiator/t stat combos in the serp conversion how to. Might save someone like myself scratching there head. Thanks again guys!
Thats on my to buy list as well, so If you don't mind a part number that would be great I will save it for future reference:Handshake
Thanks guys picked up the explorer hose last night, and did some test fitting looks like I will work with a little trimming. Not fully installed yet, I need to do some fitting on my electric fan so I wanted to keep the radiator out for now. Should be finished up in the next few nights Thanks again
