4 days ago i picked up a 90 roller 302 from a guy...suppose to have 130,xxx miles so on it and was running when pulled, and so forth. So i get down there and try to turn it over, it would turn a quarter turn stop and back the other direction same distance and stop again. I took the pan off, no broken rods or pistons skirts. So the guy says if you still want it ill give it to you for $50.00. So i say ok thats a steal even for a core. He then through in 2 sets of forged pistons, a set of rods, a set of brand new ford oen rod and main bearings, and a few other things. so i get it home and start looking at it...and decide to take the heads off and found 2 dry wall screws that had fallin into the motor because it was sitting uncovered with no intake on it...Motor turned out to be perfect, cross hatch in bores are beautiful and there is no ridge in bore nore and score marks... also took a look at the bearings and the looked beautiful. so long story short i stole the motor for $50.00 plus parts... going to put a cam in it, double roller chain, new oil pump, roller rockers, victor jr. and a bottle and go have some fun...will post pics once its back together...
