heads....heads....heads

does anyone know if $1000 is a good price for a set of new afr 185cc heads fully assembled if being offered at .75 to the dollar of wholesale prices. i dont know what they are wholesale so i cant do the math. i know that new they are $1495 from jegs.

 

Make sure they are not the chinese version.. but for fully assembled brand new aluminum heads, they go for 800-2000

Theres also several versions of the 185 heads, which vary in prices.

Those are the emission legal street versions. I called my speed shop and they said they retail for $1459.99. Same as Jegs. The only way you could get them at wholesale is if your a vendor, at least thats what the owner told me.

 

Also the math is simple. If 1k is .75 on the dollar, then $1,333.33 would be the wholesale price.

 

Hate to be devil's advocate (no, not really, I actually enjoy it!), but any heads, made in China, India, or Ethiopia, fully assembled, aluminum, etc. that actually fit and are within .010 of being flat...$1000 is a good price.
