Guess I didn't do anything too wrong, because once Robert got me past the electrical problem, it fired right up! Thanks again to Robert for the troubleshooting, and to everyone that offered advice and encouragement. My oil pressure fitting is leaking at the block, not used to getting any oil pressure. Need to try to fix that, if I can't I'm scrapping it for an electrical gauge. Need to top off the tranny and shift it through the gears so I can make it move under it's own power next. http://maverickmatt.no-ip.com/midwest/hold/its_alive.wmv :bananaman :bananaman :bananaman :bananaman :bananaman
huh? If it came up in a web browser as a bunch of garbage (which it does for me), you'll have to save it to your hard drive then open it from there. I don't know how to make my links so it just opens up as a video.
You are very welcome Matt just glad I could help as for the problem Dan It's still not "fixed" I just tought Matt how to hot wire for now.........in the next week or so we will do a rewire over the phone.......
Either the new box is bad, or it's just not getting power in the 'run' position. I know one of the wires had 12v with the key on, but the other two did not, so I assume they may have been powered in the 'start' position. If that's the case, that makes me think one of the connections on the box is bad.
Oh, and I bled the brakes, tightened the oil pressure fitting (thought I had done that.. ), and filled up the tranny. Now it moves under it's own power too! (And I can stop )
Matt, thanks for sharing the video clip! It's great to see and hear that you got it running!!! Congrats all the way guy!!!!!! :bananaman :bananaman :bananaman :bananaman
The young boy in the background covering his ears is priceless The car sounds great welcome to V8 power. Now starts the addiction of wanting to go faster and faster....... :bananaman
