Hooker 6901s

    I have a 76 ford maverick that im installing a 302 c-4 will the hooker 6901s fit the car does have power steering and im not using the column shifter. Summit says 70-74 mavericks is what those headers will fit.

    They will fit but you'll have to get a drop down bracket for the power steering.:)

    The 6901 hookers fit all of the cars but it's easier if you obtain a V8 trans crossmember that allows exhaust to be routed on both sides of the trans and still have some ground clearance. if the car isn't lowered, it doesn't really matter but I was pulled over once because my exhaust was "hanging" down too low. I think he just wanted to check me out because I was out late... anyway, I don't think they list the later cars because they technically aren't compatible with the emissions systems on the later cars. ie: converters, air injection, etc.

    the mustang ones are the same bought one at a mustang store for like 25 bucks

    ps grind a lil bit around where the bolts goes through where it sits flush in the frame because the part that you put the bolt to sits a lil bit lower and will allow the bracket to move back and fourth:thumbs2:
