    1. i have the factory 8" but someone welded the gears and broke them but i have a center section out of a 71 torino that i could build up. (drum breaks)

    2. My dad knows someone with an 8.8 out of a 2003 mustang i can get for free, but then it needs narrowed i do belive and it has disc breaks, and i do belive it has a limited slip.

3.find a 9" narrow it put disc breaks on it put a locker in it.

also does anyone know what the stall is on a 1971 torino with a 250 I6?

what carb should i be using a 650 cfm or a 7xx something?

High volume, high pressure, or normal oil pump?

    here is my set up:
    forged scat crank
forged scat i beam conecting rods
forged icon pistions (cant remeber who made them good name brand tho)
    estreet edelbrock heads
(most likey with upgraded springs to handel up to 6500 rpm)
    edelbrock rpm air gap intake
    msd distributor
msd 6a ignition box (paid $50 for it so i dont care about the limiter)
    msd blaster 2 coil
    msd super conductor wires
comp cam gold series 1.72 roller rockers
    Ford f 303 cam
( yeah out dated but its mainly a street car it will be upgraded later)

It is going to be a 347 stroker ive hear it may put out up to 450 hp so ive heard.

Ill post more as progress goes along... im getting ready for a cowl repair ill do my best to document it even tho my dad has me doing the cutting and welding and pretty much everything. Hes just my instuctor. But how many 17 year olds can say they know how to build a car? :yahoo:

Congrats on your first build, always remember research first and build once.

Nice looking bottom end with plenty of room to grow(y)

are you asking wich diff option you should go with?
i would recomend a 9" with 31 spline axles and a traclock or auburn limited slip diff. disk brakes if you want them.
you should have plenty of power to brake the 8". the 8.8 will require a new set of axles and alot of cost to narrow it and put the leaf spring pads on.
