I dont think he has a side exhaust problem. Its not difficult at all. Heck you can even have full size mufflers with side exhaust and have plenty of clearance. They make same side inlet/outlet. Like the ones used on the Cobra R and C4 corvettes.
Just don't forget that the upper boxed portion of the rocker and the inside of the quarter panel are open to the interior of the car. any exhaust coming back in will kill ya!
This following thread should be a sticky: http://www.maverick.to/mmb/showthread.php?t=40384 Basically you have to do all that work, except you can skip the cover part.

Dig that rear spoiler, interesting what they did with the front end I'd like to see how it looks when it's finished!
As far as customs they didnt do their reseach. If they would have it would have been a much cleaner car. To be honest i wasnt impressed at all by that car. When you compare it to Hackmans car it just looks amateurish.
Thack. Look up his name in the members list, then see his gallery. He has two builds that are just stunning.
The rest of that car looks good, but I wouldnt lay claim to butchering that hole for the exhaust. A part of me really wants to go with the side exhaust but I think I will be better off with the rear center exit.
I think that car has some really neat ideas. I don't really care for the whole package, but some of it's elements are cool. Love it or hate it, there is a ton of work going on there and I aplaude their effort.
