i noticed my car has two lines coming out of the end next to the license plate im guessing these are for air shocks? the tubes are cracked and dry, are they worth replacing or should i just put in different suspension?

Take those air shocks and throw them as far as you can. They will cause some serious chassis damage on these cars!

when you air them up you put all the weight on thoes 2 mounts for the shocks and they ang push there way into the int of the car

i have a set on my car i just keep the pressure low just enough to clear the tires but when i go with a not so big tire i will remove them

i have 275-50-17's i'm gonna go with 245-45-17's so they dont rub on the side's

to remove them just let the air out of them and unbolt them and install the new shocks thats about it

X2... the leaf springs hold the car up to carry the weight the shocks just dampen the bouncing. if you lift the car with shocks your back seat passenger might get a shock up his a**. :wow:Rearch or replace the springs for a higher ride.

This is why you don't want to run air shocks. The surface rust in this shot is what's under the shock crossmember. Half of the support is gone because of air shocks.

You can make out what's left of the crossmember in this shot.
