C4 to T-5 cross member

    I saw a place makes a crossmember for a 71-73 mustang to convert to a T-5 anyone know if these crossmembers will fit a maverick?

    from what I read they don't fit. We were able to modify the stock crossmember from my 71 maverick to fit the T5. you need a welder but you could make all the cuts and mark where it needs to attach and take it to someone to weld.

    here is the stock one

    look and you can see the ears cut off and the main body

    here we mocked it up. the main body is bolted up to the tranny mount on the T5, the ear is attached to the car still. i believe we flipped it around.

    it's upside down but we just placed a plate between the metals and welded them to the flat piece of metal. bryant came up with that idea, he's a freaken genius cuz it came out AWESOME

    Nice photos on the cross member. Thanks for the info wasnt sure if the mustang conversion cross members would fit or not. Looks like I will be doing the same thing you did.

    That turned out really nice! I like it. I've been contimplating converting my '73 to a t5. This forum is invaluable for it's information.:thumbs2:
