I ran out film just as they were lining cars up for the group picture. You don't realize how fast you can go through film at a car show. Anyways, I seen a few pics on the board of the group photo shot of all the cars, and thought it would look great blown up and framed. What can I say I need help! If someone can help me out here, I would be more than willing to pay for the cost of having it blown up etc. up front, if you can get an estimate. Most important thing is if the picture was taken with a digital camera it needs to be a high resoution picture, so it doesn't lose it's quality when blown up. If shot with a 35mm camera, that would work as well depending on the type of film etc. So, is there anyone else interested in doing something like this? Thanks, Dave
I would be interested as well. Alot of nice cars and I promise next year I will make it to this show. My wife went to Korea to visit her family this year and took all the play money with her . My car is starting to show it's age 9 year old resto that has been beatin hard. The second 5.0l only 1000 miles on it since the original block cracked in the main webbings. SO motor looks good agian. Kinda ashamed to take around all those super nice Mavs and comets. Not to mention my so called badmav is starting to look tame by some of your beasts. Anywho a full resto will begin fall of 2005. The new power plant will be a 351wbased 427 ci stroker. A mini tub and maybe chrysler sublime green paint with some black striping for a T/A look. Interior will get a much needed update as well. The reason I want the pic is to hang in my garage to inspire me to build mine for the second resto to be as nice as the rest of your cars. I love these cars and I love you guys for being there every step of the way.
Here it is in all it's uncropped glory: http://maverickmatt.no-ip.com/midwest/uploads/P7240027.JPG And don't worry 1badmav, you will not have the ugliest car there because mine will be there next year.
Great shot....... a quick ??, How many mavs/comets were trailered and how many were driven? .....Robert:confused:
Awesome picture. I want to take a couple of mine next year. Need to know by January 2005 the dates of the roundup, so I can put in my vacation for that week.
I would say there was at least 6-8 enclosed trailer and that many more open trailers. Although driving the car would be alot more fun, If you have alot of time invested in one, trailering it sure saves alot of wear and tear on them. Pluse if your running gears higher than 3:55's, highway travel is a killer. I trailer to save my car as long as possible, and because of all the stuff I bring along, its just not possible to get it all in a Maverick. Dan and I added bike day to the Roundup this year so I also have to pack that up now too.
