Jegs headers

Has anyone ever used the jegs brand headers on their car? im tempted to buy a set since there only $124.99. the part number is 555-30070, the listing says it will fit 71'-73' comets with a 351

 

i really doubt they will fit.

 

for 130 bucks i say try em out and let us know

call jegs and ask a rep if they are actually for a 351 and not a 302.

 

See if they list the wall thickness of the metal. I have noticed that the cheaper headers are usually thinner gauge.

 

in the catalog it says 16 gauge steel. there was a thread i read a while back that had these listed to be able to work on 302 mavs and comets. i will call jegs in the the morning and ask about the engine size. im sure 351 is a typo.

 

Sounds like a good header. Jegs probably doesnt make their own headers, its probably made by hooker or hedman. When you talk to them ask them who makes their headers.

Why not get flowtech ones? Theyre cheaper like $110 and you can get them at any oreily`s.

 

Part number is FLT12100 Theyre made by hooker. Its just their lower brand.

 

are they long or short tube? and whats oreilys

 

1 5/8th long tube. Its an auto store, in other areas theyre called kragen, checkers or shucks?. You can also get them through summit and Jegs.

 

are the flowtechs u listed designed fit in a 302 equiped maverick?

 

i have the summit brand headers on my 302 in the mav they were only 100

Coop and Earl are running them on their cars. If you do a search theres several other guys running them. Theyre not listed for mavericks though on the catalogs. But on the website they are.
