Bought a 73 Grabber today

I would love to see a shot of the shock brace drivers side. it looks like it snakes around the master cylinder.

looks like you have a brake booster. that makes the mc stick out further. am i guessing right? oh, btw- nice looking car and what a deal. some guys step right in it, and come out smelling like a rose.

 

It does have power booster and does stick out farther and thanks.

 

Dont know if this is from later model or not unless they changed brake line sets as well as they look factory and not altered but I dont know.

 

Yes...it is a power brake set-up off of a 1976 or 1977 Maverick/Comet.

UFB, I simply cannot believe the deals some of you guys get on these cars. WOW, I seriouslyy doubt I would ever come across a deal like that in 2 lifetimes. I am envious.

Nice score. Love the fact that it is a 5 speed and has A/C to boot. Should make one helluva nice driver

 

Didnt like how the car was running so Earl and I took a road trip to Barnett Performance today and replaced the Holley 650 Double Pumper with a Holley 600. While there also picked up the Hurst Competition Plus Shifter, looking forward to installing it. Engine sounds and runs great with it.

 

Power brakes and a clutch pedal? I didn't think those tow things were available togethor.

 

They weren't...from the factory. Since neither was a factory option on that car (power disc brakes and 5-speed manual trans) I would say some customization was done to get it to all work together.

 

Man, when a deal like that comes along, it would make me borrow some money. Super car for the money, and then some. Congrats, even if you did commit the unpardonable sin. The only way get forgiveness, is to sell your Comets.
