    Maverick Grabber re-creation
Hi! My name is Robert and I am from Illinois. I just recently bought a 73 Maverick that was a standard V8 2dr and has been turned into a Grabber re-creation. It's got a 302 from a 91 Mustang GT, aluminum GT40 heads, Weiand intake, Carter AFB competition series carb and headers. Wheels are the wide Magnum 500's. I'm gonna need a bit of help with this car since I've owned hot rods recently, but have decided to get back into muscle type cars. Looks like a great forum here, and I'm sure it will help me with my Mav....Thanks for having me! Robert

Thanks! I'm gonna be needing lots of help with this. It's been a long time since I've owned a car that wasn't a rod of some sort, or not completely original. I will mostly need help with finding what wires that don't connect to anything are supposed to go, or if I even need them anymore, replacing missing parts, swapping out wrong parts for the right ones, you know, stuff like that. Thanks! Robert

Yea, I like the color too, but the guy I bought the car from hated it. I'm keepin it like it is except the black stuff, except for the taillight panel, will be painted the same as the rest of the car.

    Welcome

Welcome from Northeastern Illinios. Looks like a pretty nice car. There is a lot of information on this forum. I am about 100 mi due east of Princeton. We use to come to Starved Rock, Spring Valley and Illinois River when I was into fishing. Gud luck w/ ur Maverick restore.
