Dan Hines or anyone else have a link to the guy that was selling the rattle can paint a while back. I think his name was Larry.
    Thanks Tim

There was a sight that used to sell it ,and now its gone...I haven`t been able to find anyone else who offers it. I can`t help but wonder if the EPA has somehow banned the sale of automotive grade paint in aerosol cans????

I would check your local suppliers. Many can provide paint in cans for you. The site the guy setup is no longer up. It was www.maverickcolor.com but his other site is www.autopaintdirect.com

The guys name was Larry and his handle on here was lbell101

A quality Automotive Paint Supplier can put any color you want into an aerosol can.

Johnny's brother, Jimmy ordered some at the local body supply for his 1967 Ford Fairlane. I think he said it cost around $20 a can. He also said the he almost got twice the paint coverage than a regular can of paint that you buy at the auto store.

I bought a spray can of basecoat and a can of clearcoat for my 06 Honda Si (my track car and winter beater lol) I painted a custom grill the same as the factory habanero red pearl color and the quality of spray pattern was good and color match was spot on ! I honestly couldn't believe the match and I have about 20 full paintjobs throughout the years. Not a Pro but been around. all in all I like the product. 34 bucks to the door... not bad

its now illegal to have more than 3 ozs proffesional grade paint in an open container or sprayed outside of a booth. if the epa walks in your shop and catches you they can fine you and temporarily shut you down

You're talking about professional shops, right? Its still legal to spray paint in a home garage isn't it?

for now. as of january to buy professional grade paint from a supplier you have to be paint certified and have to have your shop and booth certified. but... if you spray waterborne paint your good to go. and that stuff covers and lays down amazingly. espeially the metallics

Wow!! Glad I got my painting done. Although nothing was said, I'm sure my neighbors weren't too happy with my months of painting. If it were illegal for me to buy the paint I'd have heard from them.

When I looked at waterborne paint a year or two ago the cost was amazing too. Maybe it'll be less expensive as time goes on and production volume goes up.

And it sounded like I'd have to replace my 30 year old gun. Wouldn't do that for my one and only full paint job.

That's a bunch of BS! Damn govt sticking their nose where it don't belong again. Looks like I need to go ahead and order the paint for my tractor and Bubba's truck. Sounds like we all may be going to Rustoleom for home paint jobs before long!
