The Grand Fall Rod Run is scheduled Sept. 17-19th in Pigeon Forge Tennessee.
This is one of the largest gatherings of cars and enthusiasts in the Southeast.
I thought this would be a great time and place for a Regional Meet.
I will be there 3 days in advance of the meet as I've planned a vacation around this. Others have expressed interest in coming and the word needs to get out because hotel rooms are filling up QUICK.
I've found a very nice hotel on the Strip that still has rooms available and its not outrageously priced as some I've found.
    Mountain Melodies Inn
1-800-838-9777....Fri. and Sat. night are $98.00 a night.
    Any other night is $38.00.
This is a great central location for those in the Southeast and it would be great to have some Mavs and Comets present.

Man ... why do they always have that thing the same weekend as the Charlotte AutoFair ... the largest swap meet in the south!

Now Dan you know you would rather be Cruising the strip in Pigeon Forge on a cool Fall evening than spending money at Lowes Motor Speedway:D

Rick; I am not going to be able to make it. Son has some things medical that I need to be away that weekend and take care of. If you are going to organize a meet, let Wes know and maybe he can help with contacts, etc. Later,

I understand Earl...thanks for lettin me know.
John I know the 98 bucks seems like alot but compared to others for those 2 nights...if you can even find a room...it's cheap. The only reason I found these rooms is because this hotel is on one end of the strip rather than in the middle of it.
    Hope you can make it.

I've got a lead or two on some cabins in Pigeon Forge. Would there be any interest in sharing a three-bedroom (sleeps 6) cabin? I'll know by Thursday, but a friend thinks he can get one for $125 per night for the nights of Sept. 16 through Sept. 18 (check out Sunday Sept. 19) Six splitting the costs would be a little less than $25 per night (including tax, etc.). Drop me an e-mail or PM as well as posting here.(y)

Geez Terry...$125 a night is dirt cheap for those nights...thats a great deal.
I'm comin in on the 13th so it not cost effective for me but I'd bet John and maybe Dan would be interested.

    Share a cabin?

I couldn't swing the deal on a 3-bedroom cabin for $125 per night. I can get one for $200 per night. That will sleep six; two beds in each bedroom. That would be about $35 or so for each person. Anybody game?
