FYI ... V8 cylinder engines have 8 spark plugs 4 on each side.... I clearly see only 6 on your car all in a line. It's either a 170 or 200 CI Inline 6 ..... A 250 is 4.1 Liters .... and uses same starter as the 302 5.0 L engine Post your VIN number ... it's easy to figure out ... 5th character: U - 6-170 - 1 bbl - 105 Horsepower T - 6-200 - 1 bbl - 120 Horsepower L - 6-250 - 1 bbl - 155 Horsepower
Good Luck! I`m thinking when you get the vacuum leak and PCV hose all fixed and working, you gonna get that car to wheelie! If you can`t get this figured out, I will be home Saturday afternoon and can post picture of a 170 engine hose routing. Should be near the same as your strong ox. Just curious,,, what other cars have you owned?
I have a 1995 ram 1500 manual. The mav engine seems to be unable to idle well IE stalling after peddle depression. I am probly going to troubleshoot the fuel line but it may just be low as hell on gas. I put 2 gallons into it from my small can. Deffinetly need more but I doubt that would make the engine die after realeasing the peddle. It has a slight hard start since we are bumping the sylinoid. Any ideas? Engine can't Idle for longer then 15-30 secs. I am thinking my fuel distributor is not functioning at 100% or a carbuator issue but my carb is almost shiny.
I had that same problem and it turne out to be a chipped rotor gear on the bottom of distributer on my straight 6
Fuel distributor? now that's gonna realy mess things up if its a diesel. J/K. Hope you get it figgured out.
It appears to be the carb, already ordered my rebuild kit. some jerk mechanic tried to charge me 200 for the carb rebuild kit. Made me lol.
