Has anyone here ever made a pressure bleeder for their brake? I just put on disc and changed the rear to 5 lug and need a good bleeding . I haven't changed the MC yet and won't until I pull the engine to do the engine compartment but would like to get them bled for now. And I love to make things. Thanks Rick
I see a road trip in your future. 1st stop - Home Depot. 6 inches of 3 inch PVC pipe, 1 glue on end cap. 1 screw on cap and flange and 2 ball cock valves to fit air hose coupling, I think it is 3/8 pipe thread and one brass union. Then to the tool department for 4 male barbed hose couplings, and 1 male coupling to fit your existing coupling that you use in your shop. stop by auto parts supplier for replacement master cyl cap. You will need 3 o-rings, 2 that fit the threaded end of the couplings and 3 washers. 2 you can screw on to the same end of coupling to create a surface for o-rings. Finally some hose that will resist brakefluid and hold about 25 to 30 lbs of air pressure. Drill and tap caps for barbed coupling in screw on cap and for union pipe in glued cap. Install with washers and o-rings. glue cap and flange to pipe. desired length of hose to reach master cyl, attached to glued cap. 6 inch or so hose between top cap and barbed coupling in outlet side of ball cock valve. put male coupling in inlet side of ball cock. In case I didnt explain this right I will post a diagram as oon as I can scetch it out and scan it. Built one of these approx 35 years ago and retired it about 5 years ago.
