Hello I was just looking something up about the maverick and I came a crossed this I usually dont use Wikipedia. bot I found this: The vehicle came in a short wheelbase two-door and long wheelbase four-door configuration and was powered by a 3.0-litre petrol engine or a torquey 4.2-liter diesel engine. Did the maverick really come with a diesel?

Pretty sure thats referring to the European SUV Maverick since the word Petrol is used and diesels are definitely a European thing. Us North Americans are to stubborn and stuck in our ways to take advantage of diesel technology in our commuter cars.
