Well, it pays to give someone an application for the MCCI. I saw this lady about 3 weeks ago & talked to her about the club. This morning around 10am, I get a call at work. Wants to know if anyone is interested in buying her 70 Grabber (200 cu in). I told her to post it on the MCCI message board. If she couldn't find a buyer, I'd give her $100.00 for it, as a parts car. At 2pm she shows up at my work, wants me to look at the car. Wants to know if I want to buy it. I told her I'll give you $100.00 for it. She says, Okay! Goes home to get the title, I go to the ATM to get the money. Then we go do the title transfer. I'm now a proud owner of a 70 Grabber. I think I'm going to shine it up & see what it looks like. It does need a right front fender & passenger door. She got broadsided. The rear bumper has the regular dent in the middle. The drivers side of the bench seat needs to be fixed (torn), & the headliner needs to be replaced. Interior is black. The only rust I found on it, is on the passenger door at the very bottom. This could be a really nice car. The engine purrs like a kitten. When at stop lights, I thought it quit running (it is so smooth). Here are some pictures.
Yes Ray, it's Grabber Orange, with all the Grabber options. (y) ;)

Maybe its really faded, but looks like Calypso Coral, not Grabber Orange. It's just like my car! Well, how my car was. ;)

Don't worry I thought my car was Grabber Orange for a long time too. Grabber orange is really orange though, almost yellow-y. Check the paint codes!

    Nice find. :)

Well, I cleaned & polished it up last night. Guess, what? I'm not going to part it out. Duh! Go figure.... I'm going to fix it. Then I figured why not tape off the hood & put the factory stripe back on (it was faded). Amazing what a rattle can of semi flat black will do. All I need now is black pinstriping tape to finish it. Also notice the damage to the passenger door & fender (it's fixable). Now it really looks Orange to me.

FYI ... The competition Orange on the new Mustangs is the same color as Calypso Coral ... Grabber Orange is what I would call Yellow ... I've seen a Cougar painted Grabber Orange and it does not look orange at all ... looks more like the Spicy Mustard sauce that McDonald's has with Chicken McNuggets ...
