This morning I was driving to school when I looked down and noticed I was going 85 mph (the speed-o-meter needle was trying to go all the way around). First I freaked out then quickly realized my maverick starts shaking at 65 mph therefore if I was truly going 85 mph my car would be falling apart! Slowed down and when I did the needle reacted and started moving down but seemed to get stuck at times. Any ideas on what to do to fix it and where I can look for the parts?

It is probably the cable starting to fray and catching inside the cable housing. There are universal cables availible at parts store but you have to know the length which you can get by pulling yours out. Unhook the cable housing from the back of speedometer and pull cable out. Good luck.

Or you might have a spider that built a weg inthe speedo head - it happened to me once and after driving for a few times the spider decided to take her web and go elsewhere.
