Hey all. My name is Steve and I'm out north of Nashville in Middle TN, and I just bought my first Maverick for $1000. I bought her because of some great memories growing up with my grandfather and his 76 red inline 6 Maverick. While this ain't my granddaddy's Mav, she's got everything I need to make her my own, and I'm gonna start workin on her real soon. She's currently without pretty much her entire drivetrain, and needs some work on her paint, interior and exterior, although she is in amazing condition otherwise. On her tailpan, (right under the spoiler) somebody named her "Li'l Red", and I've been told by a couple people that she was a magazine car and that they have or had the magazine at one time, but can't find it. I've looked everywhere and can't find it either, but I'm not done looking yet. And for the record, I'm gonna do my best to put her back the way she was when she graced the road, down to the paint job and interior, except for a few minor details and saftey concerns. If you've seen her before in a magazine or on the road, let me know. I want to know more about her, so I have the whole story. Thanks, Steve
Welcome aboard! Definitely looks like it was a nice car at one time. Hope you find your info. I just came up to Chattanooga this weekend and purchased a $1000 Maverick my ownself! Good luck with your car! :Handshake
Hi welcome from South of Nashville (Franklin). There is another Clarksvillian here too - Predfan. Love the window art. Is that in the driver side rear window?
Looks like you have a lot to start with! Are the quarter windows actually etched,or is that a decal? It looks cool! While you're at it,pull that Comet, that's next to it out of the weeds too! It looks worthy of a fix up!!!
It's actually etched into the window, but only on the driver side. And I would pull the Comet out too, but these pictures were taken from before I had actually bought her. I've since moved her to somewhere I could work on her.
Welcome from Northwest Georgia! Not too far away from ya! Gonna be a great little car you got there! :Handshake
My brother lived in clarkesville a couple years ago while in the Air Force. You don't remember seeing a flat black 65 falcon running around town do you?
