What is all needed

    I came across a 80 e150 with 302 and c4 trans when i swap is there any special stuff i will need aside from mounts and basic 250 to 302 swap being its from a van. finnaly picked something and whole van for 200.00 was a good price i think.

    Its a 74 comet 4 door. and was wondering if any other parts off the van aRe usable

    70 mav, 71 grabber, 73 Comet, 2004 f-250 crew cab diesel, 2001 f-250, 2004 explorer, 2007 Gold Wing trike.
    You will need the usual Comet frame and motor mounts, Belly bar, tranny bar for duals, and Comet headers. Other than that it should be a fairly straight swap. Good luck.:)

    Remember most headers say you need a floor shift and if you have power steering you need th drop down bracket for the steering.

    All ive got is alternator. when i drop it in can i just remove a/c off 302 and power steering, smog pump. and just get a smaller belt or do i have to replace a bunch of brackets thanx in advance

    Should be able to just remove it and get a smaller belt. Any fan or water pump belts?:)

    Dipstick tubes are gonna be different on the van. If you have a C4 on your 250 you can probably just reuse that tube, but you might need a new one for the oil. Both of these are available aftermarket.

    Ok. will oil pan work off van. and will the tranny mounts off an other v8 vehicle work and v8 frame stand. salvage yards here only see to have 6 cyl mavs. thanks

    I don't know about the oil pan. If it's a front-sump pan, I'd say yes. If rear sump, no. If you end up switching pans, be sure to get the right oil pump pickup.

    Trans mount... The crossmember/trans mount on your car should be right already if you currently have a C4.

    Frame stands, probably not the same on the van. I'm sure somebody here can sell you a pair for a good price though.
