Upper control arm grease fittings

    Just saw the picture of an upper control arm with a grease fitting pointing out to the side. I'm curious if you could drill and tap the original ones like that,with them still on the car? Mine have a place to put the fittings on the ends,but I don't want to have to cut holes in my shock towers to put them in. I have had no luck finding shorter fittings that will fit in the space. What do you guys think,would you drill and tap for fittings or would it weaken the cap nut?:)

    Grease fittings

    You can find 90 degree grease fittings and a "tool" for installing them onto your upper control arms . I have them on a couple of cars here in Florida.
