what mufflers are you running

I figured I would ask what mufflers you are running on your car. It will be a while before I put exhaust on my car but I am thinking about what do do. I am thinking of going with 2.5 inch flowmasters or bullets dumped before the rear axle. I know bullets should be a little better but not sure if I could take all the noice. lol. anyway what mufflers and exhaust setup are you running on your car

 

shorty headers, 2.5 into flowmaster 40's 2.25 tails pointed down. people are shocked when i say my car is an unrebuilt, ALMOST stock 302 from 72...

 

I'm running that set up. Full length headers 2.5 inch dual exhaust with H-pipe dumped before the rear axle.

manifolds, 2.5" dual to 40 series flowmasters turned out at the back wheels right before the axle.... sounds fantastic

 

hooker headers,2.5 straight pipes right now with flotech terminators dumped before the axle,sounds awsome

 

stock manifolds to late model mustang gt mufflers and out the back..........

 

I'm runnin Hedmann long tubes to 2.5" true duals with Flow 40's out the back. I love the way it sounds. I get compliments on it all the time. I've also got an exhaust clip on youtube, its called Maverick 302 Flowmaster 40 Exhaust Clip.

 

I have purple hornies on my car right now but soon to be a full exhaust. The purple hornies are just way too loud inside.

 

I had flowmasters and loved them. But then i did some research and they dont flow very well at all. If it was a driver/stock car i would run them again just for the fact that they sound great. But for a street/strip car i would run the dynomax bullets. There not that loud, my neighbor has them on a crown vic. Plus they flow like crazy.

Long tube headers onto purple hornies, thats it...

Gets kind of loud around 5500 rpms
