Who makes a 1" front sway bar that fits a 71 Mav?

The Addco 708 (1 1/8") front sway bar for the 1970 mustang bolts directly on and is $177+ship from summitracing.com

Ordered, installed and driven. Car handles 100% better. Changes made to front suspension: Shelby "drop" upper control arm 1" lower at tower mount, v-8 4dr Maverick front springs -1 coil, and Granada front brakes. 17" wheels are coming soon, then time for auto cross. Front is 2" lower than stock.

I already installed a rear 7/8" sway bar on the 9" out back (also for '70 Mustang). Had to make rear brackets (all) for rear mount (I only had the bar and bushings). Stock leafs will be gone soon. Going to have rear leafs made. Rear is approx 1" lower than stock due to sagging springs (it's a 1970).

Overall the car rides fantastic. The feeling of "falling out of the door" is finally GONE!!

I have the ADDCO bar set on my car, and the difference is huge! Car handles well, no body lean at all.

 

Many Ford Granada's had 15/16" front sway bars optionally. I have them on two of my cars (1968 Mustang and 1968 Cougar).

I get them at the local U-Pullit yards. Very cheap, get the hardware and brackets too. Buy new end link kits though.

 

Someone a long while back mentioned to me about the Granada front bar. Wasn't sure if the frame spacing was correct. They are also a good source for Mex 302's.

I heard the Versialles is 1"... not sure though. The Versailles is a real popular car for parts. Difficult to come by to rob for parts.

 

I have not found the optional larger front sway bar on a Lincoln Versailles or Mercury Monarchs.

 

Ok, figured it may be true due to it being a heavier car. Thanks for the info. Its not like you can just go to your local boneyard and find a "few" Versailles and Monarchs just laying around. I need to get back out to the "yard" to check on some stuff and see if there is anything new. Haven't been in a while.
