I joined the forum mostly just to say thanks: I needed data on the rear brake drums for my Falcon running a non-identified 8" Ford and found the info I needed on this forum. It turns out I have a '74-'77 Maverick rear.

Since you like old Fords, I'm sure you'll let a Falcon guy hang out here.

I have a '61 Futura in progress with a 351W engine, 4sp OD manny tranny out of a Granada, the 8" rear with a 3.00 limited slip and lots of body mods like a 2.5" chop top, pancaked hood and deck, quad-headlight grille, etc. It's been in the works 6 years and I am close to getting it on the road.

Anyway, I look forward to reading about Mavericks and Comets because I think a lot of the info will cross over.

    Junior High

My next-door neighbor's mom used to drive us to junior high in an old Maverick until it died.

Then, she got another old Maverick and drove that.

Then, when that one died, she got an old Ford Fairmont (since there just weren't that many Mavericks around anymore).

Welcome to the board. Sure would like to see pics of that falcon.
I had a 64 Sprint a long time ago and also had a 62 Ranchero about 10 years ago. :Welcome:
