Just back from the Dream Cruise. Lots of fun, lots of cars and lots of rain. It rained most of the day, but just drizzles. Cleared up about 4pm, great after that. Ford and Chrysler had great displays, GM's was a yawn. Maybe after the govt lets them go, things will get better. Met up with Dale Suiche (Dale Mav77) and Lee and Connie Reichart, and a quick minute with Dave Boyer. Here are some pics, enjoy!
i like the mater man thats just awesome hahaha lookes like a good cruise with the mix of cars you have posted
Little bit of everything. GTO's, Mustangs and lots of Mopars. Not as many Chevys as in the past, guess they wouldn't hold up in the rain!
They had mater at the colby cruise in Everett, WA on memorial day. We had rain that day too. I have heard that is a big one. Maybe too big.
In my opinion, it isn't too big. There is a 20 mile cruise route, lots of exhibits and displays. It is a slow route, but the whole idea is to cruise the route, give the spectators a look at your car, and enjoy the day. You can't be in a hurry, that is for sure. I think it is a blast, and should be enjoyed at least once.
Earl, Thanks for the pics. Looks like a great time. I got my White Castle fix when I was in Ky, twice!! Ahhhhhhh!!! Did you drive up and back or tow the Maverick? How many miles was your trip? Jim
Jim; drove the Mav up and back, as I do every year. Don't even own a trailer. Trip was 2,259 miles total, with the running around and the cruise. Had one little hickup...idler pulley on the A/C froze up. Cut the belt and kept on truckin'. Found the new pulley today, so not problem. Those White Castles are great, aren't they. Try to make it up next year! Later,
Earl, I was at Woodward and saw your car from a few lanes over. Tried to give you a thumbs up, but was too far away (this year I was driving my Fiero rather than the Maverick). Your car looked awesome, an excellent representation for Mavericks overall! Even with the bad weather, the event was a success. Glad you were able to attend. Art
