I'm looking for the center hole diameter for the second generation ('74-'77) factory aluminum slotted wheels. I need to have mine machined out(which I've discovered are first generation) to fit on my '76 Maverick. I'd like to machine them to the proper factory size. If anyone has a set, could you pull a measurement?

    Thanks, much appreciated.

    Dave,

Every time I tried it required a password. Sent you a couple of notes, but I figured you got busy. I was hoping to get these rims on before the Woodward Dream Cruise, but I don't think I can now. I have a show in Frankenmuth in Sept., I hope to get it done before that event.

Sorry Art, I can't get it to unlock, I thought I had it, but it won't do it for me. If these pic's don't help, let me know.

    Dave,

Thank you very much, I appreciate your time, as well as going the extra mile with the photos. That confirms the measurement, looks like it's 2 3/4" inches then.

Just a thought.. You could try and find or make something that is 2 3/4" and test fit it. I'm leaning to 2 7/8" (loose) or 2 13/16" (tight).

I think I'll be leaning towards the "tight" side. There isn't a lot of space in-between the center hole and the lug nuts... I'd hate to have it crack in the during the machining process when there will be excess heat....

True. It was just a thought to test fit something to see how it fits before you go and do all 4. 2 3/4" could be loose anyway..
When they machine them they should be using a cooling solution at the same time... but who knows how each place does it..
