I found an underdrive serpentine pulley kit from summit for $51 but the water pump pulley is for reverse rotation (no grooves), can I run this in standard rotation or will it slip or fall off? There are kits with grooves but that adds another $120. here's the kit http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MCH-1000/ this ones $85 and has a shoulder at least http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ASP-520125/ I could use an opinion
what about these one's http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SERP...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

OK. I got a good look at Derek5.0's set up last weekend. Same deal with the smooth water pump pulley. He says it doesnt slip and runs cool and if you guys have seen him shift I'm sure the belt isnt going to come off if it stays on his car. His are off a Crown Vic I think he said. Going to swap mine over when I get the alternator and electric fan finally installed.
Yup smooth waterpump pulley doesn't slip at all.Somethings goofy with my waterpump because took all pulleys off of 5.0 crown vic and put them on 5.0 in my Comet and the top and bottom pulleys hit.So thats why i went with the smooth mustang reverse pulley and it has worked flawless.Heres a old pic.
