I have a brand new never used cam and liftors but I think (I can find the specks later) that it will be too small for you , power range is idle - 3 grand I think . I was gonna put it in my 250 but plans have changed and its way too small for the 300 hp dream I`m after but it would be a great cam for every day driving. You can check out www.fordsixparts.com , they will make you a cam to you`r specks for 115.oo (last time I checked but now that the price of steel has gone up I don`t know) . You are running ~ 8.5:1 comp right now when you put the new head gasket on (witch is 2 xs thicker than the old one) you`r comp will drop to ~ 8.0:1 (if I`m thinking right it could be more or less so ask some one that knows more about it than me ) so you will need to mill you`r head .030 to get back you`r 8.5:1 or .060 for *I think* 9.0:1 . Check out www.fordsix.com its a great forum with a lot of info .
I ran my 250 powered '71 Grabber today at L.A. County Raceway. All stock with a C4 except larger rear tires (245/60x15) and ran 20.05 sec at 68 mph. With altitude correction the time would have been 19.44 sec I think. he correction factor if I remember right is .97. I may get some shorter tires to act as better gearing as I know I can't spin the tires and this should lower my et a bit, but a cam, header, carb and some head work should get me into the 17's, but I'd like to get to the 16's. Good luck on yours.
Aint Bad Hope To Have Mine Running Soon I Need A Kit For The 200 I Have The Parts For The C-4 What Gears Came In The 8'' Mavericks
Get a Mustang II center (8"). I'm told on the 4 and 6 cyl.cars it was 3.55:1. This will give ya some get up and go. It's just a bolt in operation.
