Think I found a car. Body looks really good. Engine is acceptable, but the steering is wacked. Need to tow it from knoxville to nashville. What do others do for towing? Anyone with trailer wanna make a few bucks?

Rent a trailer from Uhaul, if you have a truck to tow it with. Even a car dolly works.
If I was closer I'd help, since my trailers on my truck right now.

If you use a tow dolly, remove the drive shaft!

A buddy of mine was towing an '85 Olds Gutlass he just bought and the bad u-joint (in the rear luckily) decided to let go. It wasn't a pretty sight when we finally got pulled over and the drive shaft was bent.

    Just a word of warning,

If the rear wheels are on the ground and you are towing it, you must remove the driveline. There is no lubrication in the C4 and with the driveline in the car it turns the transmission parts that ride in bushings. Bushings, no lube = very bad!
If it is a few blocks and speeds are kept down you can get away with leaving it in but towing is always very hard on an automatic.

Nevermind. I called them back and they decided they wanted more money. While the body is really nice. No rust. The engine needs work and the steering is trash. 2500 was okay. But this bait and switch make me question their ethics. There were a few questionable things with engine that I now think the worst. They are listing on craigslist if you are willing to pay 3500 to 4000 for a practically rust free body
