    i didnt want to make too easy on you. i find the harder you work at some thing the beter you learn it. i just turned you in the right direction. i hope i did it alot nicer than some others on this board.

    I feel the linked retro lifters are the best way to go.....no BS......only issue is install these before the heads.......they are made by melling

    street 319.99 if you are building a race motor they have better ones from crane or comp 399.99 up

    If you have ever had a cam wipe for no reason other than reg hyd suck then you will know the extra few bucks is worth it......

    as with any build you check for proper push rod length....but I imagine the reduced base circle would need custom lengths from the start.....

    and if you have a mild build find you a ford E or B cam and roll with it find em used all day for 50-75 bucks.....will keep the cost down
