My dad recently passed away and I inherited his restored 1977 Maverick. It has less than 50,000 miles on it. 2door. He was in the car business and still had contacts so he was able to have the Ford plant in Michigan mix the color to the original specs (it's like a burnt orange). I am interested in selling it but will have it cleaned up (it's been in storage for 3yrs), working properly (if it's not already) because of being in storage and have it appraised. If anyone out there has any idea/suggestions/offers, please let me know. Thanks!

Sorry to hear of your loss. Try to post some pics would be a big help. The value really depends on lots of things. Of course body condition is important, But also the options. Such as bucket seats, floor shift. V8 or Inline 6. You can look at Craigs list or ebay to see what others are selling for. Good luck.:)

    Don,
Thank you for your reply and your advice. The body is in great shape and it does have bucket seats but I'm not sure about much else. My husband and I are going back to my home town in the next few weeks to check things out and take some pictures which I will post. Thanks again!

Once you see it you might want to keep it. They are fun cars to drive and enjoy. Sorry to hear of your loss. :Welcome:

Thanks everyone! Hopefully I can get some pics posted soon. The car is in Cadiz, OH right now. My dad didn't have a will or a POA so once I've dealt with Probate, I will bring it to Columbus, OH. I seriously doubt I will want to keep it...no air conditioning. LOL!!

40yo and no air in any car?! Holy crap! No wonder my husband calls me a princess when I insisted on butt warmers in my cars. :biglaugh:

Well, I finally have the car

2 door, bucket seats, in-line 6, "ford motor company" hubcaps, "maverick" gas cap, black vinyl top, burnt orange body color, tan vinyl interior. Still have no idea what I'm doing but will get pics posted soon.
