Just realized on a different thread that it's time for me to take my own advise and get a clutch fan for my Maverick. My Maverick is a 72 V-8 formerly A/C equipped car. It has the 7 blade monster flex fan.
My question is: Is there an easy swap clutch fan that will fit in the shroud? And where did you get it?

I was shopping around on Autozone and they had fan clutches for the six cylinders as well as V-8's. Got a look at one for my six and it was the same thickness as the stock fan spacer. I'd assume the one for your V-8 would be the same.

    Save the receipt!

    clutch fan

:( I bought one from Checker Auto this Saturday and it didn’t fit so I returned it, they said it was for 74 V-8. I showed them my fan blade but they said they have too many boxes of fans to go through to find a match so please let me know if you find the correct part number.

Got it. I will try to install it tomorrow. Was 105 degrees today so didn't want to spend much time outside :)

    OK. Here they are.

    Hayden Fan clutch #2710
Hayden flex fan #3618. (The box had 3620 on it but it was crossed out).
    Got them at Kragen.

The fan fits and even clears the shroud on my former AC Maverick. I broke the shroud while removing it but mocked it up and it appears to clear. Now I need another shroud. :(
