After seeing a couple of members make a cowl hood. I thought I would try making one. I kinda used ideas from a couple of those ( hope they dont mind ). I like the grabber hood. so after a couple of hours this is my version of a grabber cowl hood.

Tell me what you think. good or bad. I think It has a little to much crown in the back at the opening. I am not sure if I will finish it or not. not sure if I have the nerve to do it to a mint grabber hood. I used masking tape to hold it in place. then gave it a coat of cheap spray paint to hide the tape.

OK...I gotta say it...I like it but... I like those two peaks that the grabber hood has on it. Looks like a very clean/simple look. People who dont know these cars would miss the modification completely, very nice.

I like it. Also, can you adopt me so I can come play in your shop?

I like it a lot. And I disagree about it having too much "crown" in the back, at least from seeing only pics. I think it looks fine. It's more subtle than Jimmy's hood, which I also like, but I like yours a little bit better.

Opps, I guess I should have put this in the cosmetic forum.

Thanks for the feed back. Keep it coming. Not sure if I will do this or not. Maybe I should look for a grabber hood that needs work already. That way I wouldnt feel bad cutting out the center of a grabber hood.

I like it. Its definitely a bit more subtle. Like Pete said its a bit strange having the Grabber body lines gone. They kind of make the Grabber hood but yours looks good without them the way you have it. It looks like a production piece as opposed to a Grabber hood with a cowl.:thumbs2:
