OK who is trying to buy up all the fuel caps on ebay?? 3 caps I have looked at one being an nos piece and all 3 have the same bidder. Gees no wonder the prices have gone crazy on caps. This guy is raising the bids on all of them.

I doubt if it is the same bidder. eBay cloakes all the bidders now so one can't see who they are bidding against. They just throw a random nonsence name up there now to show who the bidder is.

I thought about getting an extra for back up but they have been going too high.

I picked up three extras at Spring Carlisle for a buck apiece. One is nice and two are faded and will go on when they might grow legs.

This year. I'm not sure if they're deluxe or not. No "MAVERICK" on them, just the steer. They were on a table with a bunch of junky stuff. Asked the lady "How much?" and when she said $1 apiece I grabbed them. :outtahere: Hope she wasn't in trouble with her husband.

    did it look like this

    or this

either one is a good deal for $1 but if it is the DELUXE (bottom) it is a GREAT deal. The Deluxe caps in good condition are going for around $100. In fair condition they are fetching $50

    No Deluxe

Thanks for point out the difference. Nope, not deluxe. Now that I look at them again, one has a couple of small dents, one is faded, and one is quite nice.

If I park the car overnight someplace, I've got some caps that won't be SO bad to lose.

My thoughts as well....that's why I'm looking for a back up cap. I bought my NOS cap at the PFCA in Columbus around 93 for $15.00 and I thought that was ridiculous. It has faded a tiny bit over the years, but still looks great. I just want a used cap...just in case I leave it in an unsavory area. (y)
