I have a 70. The front bumper is a lot closer on the drivers side then the pass side. Im talking the side of the fender, not by the grill. I tried loosing it and pulling on it. I tired spacer/washers on the close side to move it out. Nothing seems to work. I believe the car is strait, as it drives fine. Any help on getting the side gaps more even?

It could actually be your fenders out of adjustment.

Did not know that could happen. They seems fine at the door. I assume there is some bolts up front that Ill need to loosen and check. Does that sound right?

    Thanks again for the input.

How are the frame to fender brackets? Take some pic's so we can see.

Is the gap between your fenders and hood good? If not look at your frame to fender brackets as mentioned. They're near the parking lamp on the inside of the fender.

Sounds like bent bumper brackets to me. Perhaps the bumper was tagged on the passenger side at one point...

The thing is.....it could be a number of things. You can also loosen the bumper bolts and try to move it over.

Well after pulling the bumper off, I could clearly see that one "end" curves in at a greater angle. So the bumper end is bent. I tried banging on it, but I knew it was frutile before I started. I guess I can try to straiten it with something better or buy a new bumper. Anyone ever use the fiberglass bumpers? Do they look about the same? I am gonna paint it anyway.

    Thanks.
