I am looking for dimensions on a C4 tranny dripstick. How long it is from bolts of the pull, to the end, if there is a twist in it and how far from the end.
How (in inches of course) far is it from the tip to each of the, full, safe, and low, lines of the fluid levels. Can anyone take a look at theirs and measure it out? Or know of a place online with these specs? Thanks - KATE

I bet if you posted in the parts wanted section, one of these guys that have parts laying all over the place would probably send you one for what the shipping cost is....

One tranny guy told me on C4's,,, With car level, jacked up or on the hoist, take the modulator out and fill tranny till fluid comes out the hole, mark your dipstick with that fluid level. Don't forget to put modulator back in after excess fluid runs out!

Maybe Paul can shed some light on this method if it is correct . Seems to work for me.

A measurment like that might not help you at all, I know there are atleast 4 different C4 distick lengths(tube and stick)..... Plus the are also some truck and van ones..... Who knows if they are giving you the correrct info for yours or not.....

Well Chances are if it is a C4 and it is in a Maverick then it is going to be the same as what she is looking for. I don't think anyone here would go out and measure the tranny dipstick in a Van and give her those measurements knowing that she is asking for information on a Maverick website.

    - This sounds great actually probably the most accurate way for my tranny. I have a question now...

you said..." take the modulator out and fill tranny till fluid comes out the hole, mark your dipstick with that fluid level. Don't forget to put modulator back in after excess fluid runs out!"

I am not sure what the modulator is but I DO know that my tranny leaks fluid and that at a cretain point, it begins to purge like an overflow valve, should this be capped off, and is it actually the modulator?
